O estudante de Engenharia Química Bruno Kettels, 20 anos, representante da Bolívia, foi eleito Mister International 2009, no concurso realizado neste sábado, 19 de novembro, em Taichung, Taiwan.

29 candidatos disputaram o título. Os finalistas foram o espanhol Hector Soria, o libanês Marcelino Gebrayel, o francês Maxime Thomasset e o polonês Sebastian Strzepka. O Brasil não enviou representante ao concurso.

Taichung, Taiwan ROC, December 19, 2009 - This evening, during one of the year's most exciting annual events, a star-studded panel of judges chose Mister Bolivia Bruno Kettels as MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2009 at the 4th Annual MISTER INTERNATIONAL pageant from Taiwan ROC.

20-year-old Bruno is a Chemical Engineering student who hopes to contribute positively to society. He enjoys basketball, singing, playing musical instruments and swimming.

Throughout the two-hour event, the contestants competed in three categories: swimwear, evening wear and interview. During these competitions, the “Top Five” were selected before the crowning. MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2008 Ngo Tien Doan crowned his successor at the conclusion of the two-hour pageant, before an estimated viewing audience of more than 1,200.

Final Results:

First Runner-up: Mister Spain Hector Soria will assume the duties of MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2009 if the Titleholder for some reason cannot fulfill his duties.

Second Runner-up: Mister Lebanon Marcelino Gebrayel

Third Runner-up: Mister France Maxime Thomasset

Fourth Runner-up: Mister Poland Sebastian Strzepka

Mister Congeniality International Award: Mister Venezuela Luis Nuzzo. The award reflects the respect and admiration of the contestant’s peers, who voted for him as the most congenial, charismatic and inspirational contestant.

Mister Spirit International Award: Mister Angola Jelson Quintas. This award is presented to the contestant selected for his outstanding qualities such as character, sportsmanship, achievement, personal growth, and a willingness to promote the positive aspects of competition.

National Costume Award: Mister Taiwan ROC Terry Shih. This is presented to the contestant who best displays his country pride and spirit in costume.
